Virus In Lg Rd2030

I have got a virus in my LG 2030 through sms. When I tried to open the inbox the phone restarts. Also while syncing the phone with LGDesktop the phone restarted which cancels the syncing. I am not able to backup the data also. Kindly tell me how do I remove the virus.

Does resetting the phone will remove the virus/ If yes than how do I backup my data.

Have you checked whether BitPim is able to read your phone's contents ?

Its not virus, just a software currption.

Visit any lg service centre, ask them to backup ur data and upload newer version of firmware availble.

They might charge u about 80 bucks.

Is it possible that I can update the firmware myself. PLz tell me how to do it & where can I find the new firmware update. Also is there any harm in changing the firmware myself?

Bitpim(ver 0.9) is not detecting LG RD 2030. I have selected "Other CDMA phones" option in the phone list as lg 2030 is not in the list. I am connecting it with a serial cable. Plzz tell me wht should I do.

Now I tell u how i did it?

Whenever i tried to detect FWP with bitpim, it always gave following error:

"The phone is not responding while transitioning mode from none to brew."

So an idea came in my mind to change phone mode with the help of uniCDMA and then again try with bitpim. So i convert phone into DM mode with the help of uniCDMA and then tried with bitpim again. and SUCCESS!!!

So the steps to read file system of FWP with the help of bitpim are:

1. First open LGKDP to detect FWP.

2. Now close it and open uniCDMA and click on HF->DM button.

3. Now close uniCDMA and open bitpim, select phone type to anyone because i tried almost every type and all worked, now expand file system.

Now u can successfully browse through file system.
