I am been using BSNL broadband since more than a year and has not faced problems except for couple of hours twice or thrice. They respond to complaint faster and speed is excellent, with my business 1200 plan I get download speed of 30-34 KBPS. Almost 100- 105% of defined speed. Lowest I get is 24 KBPS, which is again almost 80% which is acceptable norm worldwide.

Confirmed: All plans except UL 900 get 2 Mbps speed (subject to technical feasibility in that area) from 2007.

Rumour: Home UL 900 to get 512Kbps. (some guy in the dataone orkut community posted it)

So BSNL's the choice...

With all the plans upgrading to 2Mbps, the UL plan should be upgraded to at least 1Mbps.

512kbps is enough to start with and then they can double the speeds depending upon how well their servers perform with increasing traffic.

Server will be Cool as They are Giving more the bandwidths but Still Maximum Download Limit in size will restrict the Users

Regarding Bandwidth BSNL had already Hiked the Internal Fibers Resources and also Hiked internationals Bandwidth by Under sea Cable,

International Bandwidth is also Getting cheaper because of the Competitions
