Problem With Ipod,xp Not Able To Explore It.

I am using XP SP-2.whenever i connect my Ipod(chinese)thru USB.it detects d drive but cannot explorer d files on Ipod.it ask for d format & when i try to format it,it says-Windows unable to format d drive(H).

IPOD properties show its a RAW file system.

help me in exploring my ipod.

you have to do fdisk on it. It is bcoz most chinese players has hacked memory, means their capacity is always far lower than shown e.g 1 GB can be maximum 256 MB and worst 128 MB.

Boot your computer using CD to command prompt. Delete partitions on drive create new partitions and then format. You will recover your drive. You can recover your player if OS is lost. read more at http://wiki.s1mp3.org/index.php/Main_Page

Whats a chinese ipod????

If it's an Apple iPod... start it up in disk mode and format it as a Fat32 drive. Sometimes USB ports are the problem... if your iPod hasn't worked on that particular USB port before... try it on another system.

IPOD is thw word from Brand name to Generic Term

Now all MP3 Player in India is termed as IPOD :confuse:

also Try to Connect the same to another machine and check that it works on that

Some time Corruption of Generic USB Drive Driver creates a lot of problem

Also Try format the Drive If you can see the Drive but can not explore it

Use Windows Media Player 11
