Lost My 6265

Recommended Posts

hi..

was a proud owner of 6265 till friday last..

when i decided to reward the ricksha driver for slow and steady driving with my 90 days old phone..

now i regret the decision...

can anything help?

simply put...

lost my 6265...

is there anyway to it get back...??

i know stupid questioon..

but badly missing it.. so trying all possible ways.. and asking anybody and everybody...

another idiotic thing which i feel i did..

was

to put the phone lock..

as users of 6265 would know... without opening phone lock.. the phone does not start...

my old 2880.. was atleast able to receive calls.. without the phone lock..

so i guess... the rickshawalla.. switched it off..

and eversince... whenever i dial the number...

i hear the standard "switched off song"

do suggest if anyone has a way out...

Trace the RickshaWala.. .Go to the webworld near the place you lost...it can happen that the good guy has surrendered the phone there..

am still keeping the faith..

btw.. if i dont get it... would bid farewall to reliance..

seeking advice from GSM users

my usage is as follows

some 1500 mins of local mobile calling

as many sms...

occasional std around 50 mins a month

roaming 4-5 times a year (around the country)

which service would be best?

am looking for bpl or hutch

Just hope that he does exactly that from service center and after that he could be changing the number. If he changes the number, it can be traced.

Going to Police Station is Pure Waste

If they got it also still it will not come to you.

Only Hope that Rick man is Genuine and he might be looking for you.

As 6265 is RUIM Based ESN Locking also don't works.

few things which would help you and other members who loose mobile.all these info is already there in rimweb. just posting alltogether .

1. its not possible to override any no on postpaid connection . but say if the mobile is costly then it can be done that the thief shift postpaid no to a cheap blank mobile and use your phone with his no .

2. if its a prepaid no , then a new prepaid no can override the old no .

3. in non-ruim based handset if you know the RSN no of handset then you can easily get to know the no running on it . so if the thief put a new no in the handset then it can be traced .

4. for non-ruim based handset i am not sure the no is traced with the handset rsn or ruim rsn. (will check with my 6275 handset n ruim rsn tomorrow n post ) .

in case it can be checked with h/s rsn then as in point 3 then new no can be traced easily . in case it is traced by ruim rsn then sorry yaar loose hope you wont get the h/s back as the thief will throw the ruim and buy a new ruim and the new no could not be traced .

5. one thing more which some member or nokia asc can tell is . can the no be traced with esn ?
