Sadikk 301 Report post Posted February 11, 2007 (edited) Think touch-screen phones are cool? A designer at Hong-ik University in South Korea has designed a cell phone concept that turns your grimy hand into a mobile. The idea is pretty simple. Put a special strap around your hand and a beam from the strap projects a virtual keypad onto your fingers, so your hand becomes the keypad. Each joint makes up a different button and the strap itself would have a circular LCD to show you who's calling. Sure, you'd look retarded texting from your hand, but if it worked for Inspector Gadget and won an iF Concept Product Award, who am I to judge. ---------------------------------------------------------- While some seasoned anglers say it's cheating, this FishCam gives you an edge on those slimy little b*****ds, feeding the video from a tiny camera attached to your fishing line to a little topside monitor. Hey, now you can get video proof of the One That Got Away, or you can make sure he doesn't get away in the first place by pulling up on that fishing rod right when you see him biting down on the lure. Why would this be cheating, anyway? Mankind has been using technology to catch animals for food for ages. Maybe those crusty old fishermen think it just doesn't give the fish a sporting chance. Just hope that whopper of a fish doesn't bite off your FishCam, or else you'll be out $362. Edited February 11, 2007 by Shaikhsadik

I_C_U 10 Report post Posted March 9, 2007 Print on the go. Nowadays most cell phones have a camera and most of us are trigger-happy. But rarely do those photos ever get printed! A pocket-sized mobile printer, Zink, connects either wirelessly or with a USB cable directly to any camera phone or digital camera and prints full-colour 2-inch x 3-inch digital photos (size of a regular business card). More than just printing from a phone, though, the printer is compatible with all PictBridge-enabled digital cameras and Bluetooth-enabled camera phones. The only drawback of the printer so far is that it uses only Zink paper that may not be easily available in India just yet. And with an integrated rechargeable battery, this is really a great companion to carry around. Not yet launched, it is expected to be available by the end of 2007. Key features Compatible with all Pictbridge enabled digital cameras and Bluetooth enabled camera phones Prints 2" X 3" borderless, high quality photos Uses ZINK paper. Available in sticky-back. Integrated, rechargeable battery Available late 2007 (Source: livemint.com + zink.com)

Sadikk 301 Report post Posted March 20, 2007 Today a handset is frequently treated as the social status indicator and a stylish accessory - after such grands of the runway as Dolce & Gabbana and Prada partnered up with phone manufacturers to present own cell phones, hearing that Gucci is up to break into the world of mobile technologies is not a shock.. Though there is little information available on this project - for the most part they all give links to a couple of images that supposedly show what the product will look like. And should we trust these sources, then much like LG Prada, the Gucci phone sports a touch-sensitive display and button-less fascia. Nevertheless these pictures look like a piece of Photoshop art. Anyhow, Gucci won't surprise anyone by launch an own-branded handset, that's for sure.

There is still a little known about the new offering, but thankfully there are a number of tidy photos giving the idea of the handset's looks. When closed, the F200 is managed with a five-way joystick. The handset comes equipped only with 5 Mb of built-in memory (against 1 Gb found on the X830), but boasts microSD memory expansion slot. Support for the following formats has been announced: MP3, WMA, OGG, DCF, SMP. We are eagerly waiting for more information on this fetching slider. Sadikk 301 Report post Posted March 31, 2007 LG Shine, the second handset in Black Label range from LG Electronics, is set off to conquer the markets of the UK and Europe. As LG Electronics reports, LG Shine's popularity is growing in avalanche-like fashion in Europe and its sales here in a month's time have exceeded accumulated sales in Korea, while with that said, LG Chocolate's sales in the respective period of 2006 have been beaten as well. The leading retailer in the UK, Phones4U, calls LG Shine its top selling phone for the two week period after launch, over and above, total daily sales of all British distributors still don't want to get off the 2000 units-a-day mark for two weeks. Europe, France and Germany aren't any different - compared to the phenomenally successful Chocolate, the Shine has put up even bigger numbers - since its release in Europe over 200 000 units have been sold (while Chocolate made it only to 160 000 units mark).
