melodious 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2007 Hi Friends, I am new here & first of all would like to wish success to Reliance Communications, RIMweb.in forum, administrators & moderators of this forum and all the members. RIMweb.in people, you are doing a very nice work. I am using freedom@night on my LG 7130 & duplicate usb data cable. I am able to download only 20-22 MB/hr using IDM or DAP. I am not satisfied because using my cordless LG 110 i was able to download 45-47 MB/hr last month & that too from rapidshare. So to achieve that speed I am thinking of changing my modem. Kindly suggest which one is best option among following (criteria only Net Speed) for my laptop: 1. PCMCIA data card 2. USB data card 3. Nokia 6265 4. Nokia 6275 5. Any other you suggest Kindly reply asap... Regards...

melodious 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2007 Thank u buddies for ur quick reply. So USB data card is better option. As you or your friends use it, could you please clearify 1. Will I be able to get download speeds of 14+ KBps using it? 2. Can I use R-UIM in it? 3. If not, then can I change my number of data card in future using HCC etc.? Dear Supernova, as you use both USB data card & Nokia 6275 (from ur profile), What avg. speed you get in KBPS on both? Regards...

HetalDP 947 Report post Posted February 5, 2007 The Difference Between any Handset for RConnect should be in Range of 5 to 10 % in Speed. Speed is not at all Issue for Connection. The Which really matter is InStability and Frequent Disconnection in Old Nokia / LG Handsets Buit after 6265, 6255, 2865, 6275 6155 The Frequent Disconnetion is Handled well. now is smooth. Datacard is meant for the person who keep diffrent Conenction for Browsing so his phone dont get enganged all the Time and The Card itself plug into PCM slot of laptop which really sae space for raomer with Laptop But if you are Occational users and will not mind making your own phone Busy for some time to have access to net than any Latest Nokia Phone with Bluetooth is right choice. I my self uses Browing in Night so even the Phone Get Engaged fro an Hour does not matters. and My Laptop have Inbuild Bluetooth so Connecting using 6275 / 6265 is very much hassle free. Browsing is stable at 7 to 8 KBPS and Downloading 11 to 16 KBPS 1 KBPS = 8 Kbps (B = Buytes and b = bits) (1 Byte = 1 bit)

HetalDP 947 Report post Posted February 6, 2007 I am Area Both gave same speed Therioticlly Airtel EDGE Card uses 4 to 5 Channel or available 10 channel to Support EDGE means Actual Bundled Tunnel for EDGE are Maximum 3 and Actual Bundle Channel for CDMA devices are 5 Both have same Users Database and both Users uses Net so the Effective Speed is Same In Airtel You may get Speed higher than 144 to 175 Kbps Occasional but it will be not every time.
