My dear friend you can go for EPSON. There is a new model in the market which will fulfill your all needs. The Model No. of this printer is "EPSON Stylus CX2800".

• All the functions are their in this model (Print, Scan & Copy)

• Print speed of EPSON printers is always good.

• Saperate Waterproof (Durabrite) Ink cartridges (Individual Cartridges).

• All cartridges @ Rs. 250/- only (original).

• And its priced below 6K.

Regards.

if i want one with fax, which one would you suggest? My budget also is around 6 to 8k.

should i go for laser or inkjet?

what would be the approx. printing cost per page in fast draft for both laser and inkjet?

thanks in advance.

why dont you go for laser then? Samsung SCX 4100 will not cost more than 7K, printing cost of laser will be very low and no issue of ink jamming etc. It can not FAX, has flat bed scanner, printer and copier.

Laser are expensive initially but cheaper running and better quality prints are advantages. Tonner refilling too now cost only 450 which is good for atleast 2000-3000 pages.

Yes, this was my first shortlisted printer and after looking at this printer demo in my Office campuse, I got the idea of buying a Home printer

. I liked Epson CX3900(or 3800?) I donot know its price.

Thanks man, I did not looked at samsung because the above printer was not in my MFP list. this one looks like a decent buy, I have to look at a couple of reviews

I think Xerox laser printer cost less than 5K( It is only a printer).

This prints only around 75 pages(black) per catridge, which make cost per page greater than Rs.3

Anyone knows how much Canon MP180 costs and its cost per page?

My dear friend the cost of Epson Stylus CX3900 is Rs. 6799/-.

And about the laser printers, I want to state that although the initial cost of laser printers may be high but the print cost per page is always less. But Laser MFP's are very costly.

You are also right that Xerox laser printers are available at less than 5k. But my dear friend you please take it in mind that the cartridge which comes with these low cost laser printers are only the "DUMMY CARTRIDGE". That means it carries less than half the toner as compared to the originals.

HP is the king in Laser Technology, so my dear friend if you want to buy laser printer than you must go only for HP.

@khs123

Yes my dear friend I'm sure about the cost of these original cartridges thats correct it is Rs.250/- per cartridge.

These cartridges are newly introduces by EPSON, but I don't know whether it contains the same amount of ink as it was in previous old cartridges.

Regards.
