Rconnect Problem In Nokia 2112

Hi All,

I am using nokia 2112 for rconnect. I have winXP Prof. as operating system and using CA 42 cable(local) as data cable. I have downloaded the latest rconnect dialer. But unable to connect through dialer.

The PC is sensing the the cable and I am able to configure the modem in desired USB port. The cable is working fine in PC Suite. But whenever I press the connect button in dialer, most of the times on first attempt, my PC hangs. On second attempt it keeps on connecting but dont connect.

Can anybody help me out where is the exact problem. At reliance end or in my data cable??

Instead of using the R-Connect dialer software, can you dial using the Dial up Networking dialer ? And what message does it show in the end when it fails to connect ?

This a Single INF file

Just INstall the Modem via

Start - Control Panel - Phone & Modem - Modems - Add Modem - Tick to Dont Detect - Next - Click to Have Disk - Give the Location of nmpCDMA1xRTT.inf - Click OK - then Select Nokia 3G Packet Data Modem - The in Dialer Select this MOdem and Connect using Phone Number #777

Thanks a lot but I have already installed the modem via same inf file ..its showing in hardware list also.

I installed PC suite only to test if data cable is ok or not.

now I want to know that can it be the case that if data cable is workng with PC suite, can it still be faulty for modem operation( may be both use different pin combination)?

Data Cable you useis a Serial Cable

If it worked Fine for PCSuit then Must be Running for RConnect.

1 more thing I forget to tell ..I am unable to use mobile world services ..

Can this be the possible reason for my problem?
