All RUIM Based can be Used in Both Network.

and 2865, 6265, 6275 can be used in both and RWorld and Tata Zone can also be Loaded on any Phone by Loading Respective Models PRI for the Operators.

why would it want to prevent people from subscribing its services.

No matter the handset, one connection gets activated.

I think this should be a major plus point..

The query in this topic is becoming more complicated everyday & i m not able to find any sure shot solution.

I planned to buy a LG3470 from reliance (which is ruim based) & use it with both Reliance & Tata. So First i went to Rel Webworld & confirmed about the prices. Then i went to Tata indicom & asked them weather i can use it with a tata ruim ? but i was told that chances are that it might work but most probably it wont work.

Then i thought the only place where i can find the solution is LG's service centre which is authorized by both tata & rel. So i went there & asked my query, they told me that earlier lg was only selling non ruim sets. The first ruim set from lg is 3470 which has recently launched & they have'nt seen it yet & did'nt got a chance to experiment. so they exactly dont know.

So, finally i returned without any solution.

I dont understand why this is becoming so complicated, it's such a simple thing. why can't a cdma handset be used with other operator just like we can do in gsm ?

it can be done..its just that somebody has to take the gauntlet thrown by the technology.

This can only be done by detailed use of the handsets..all. :Decepcionado:

Before invest in handset which works on cross network, remember to check with ruim of other service providers, just like GSM, they are locked to RUIM of service providers, some times they have locked MIN number means only MIN number of particular operator will work. Solutions in CDMA is not as easily available as GSM. Also CDMA, ERI / PRI is usually programmed on phone not on SIM / RUIM so WAP services will invariably not available except for the origincal service provider.

Great ...with these tactics our esteemed CDMA providers will most likely kill CDMA sooner rather than later... :(

just insert the Tata/Reliance Ruim card in that mobile, n it should start working right away. no need to do anything, if u r not keen on using any specific programs like r-world.

Will Samsung "Hero nxt" from Tata work on Reliance? It is T-sim enabled. I asked a retailer and he said it won't work.

It appears that Nokia has slyly sold off handsets which were supposed to work on RCL by hacking the SW etc and enabling the handsets to work on Tata SIM also. So check in the market, you may get some Nokia model which works on both RCL and TATA. Enjoy while the going is good. Very soon, RCL will sell only Classic handsets which even a beggar on the road will not buy because of its very cheap and poor quality.
