stranger 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2007 Hi all, RIMWeb forums doing excellent job connecting RIM customers and sharing information. Thank you RIMWeb. It has been over a year since I have checked in. Is RConnect still 1xRTT or they now offering EVDO service? I noticed lots of people asked question about what's best hardware available for RConnect service. Last time Dec 2004 I used Nokia 280x with USB cable and it worked OK for browsing web however I was not able to stream audio from overseas radio station that I listed to on Saturdays. I plan to visit India during November timeframe. Would it be better to purchase external antenna locally (in India or bring it from overseas) that I can use with RConnect USB/PCMCIA or phone? Thanks All.
anujit 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2007 EVDO probably will be launched around mid 2008, but don't hold your breath. What do you mean by antenna? you mean a signal booster? why do you need that?
