My dear friends even I too get the same message from Reliance. But see what a joke is this. I get the two messages from Reliance between 24 hours. The first day when I get the message, it reflects that the Data Card is available at Rs.4000/- and the very second day again a message reflects at the screen from Reliance which reflects that this Data Card is available at Rs.4200/- with Reliance.

Now how can we rely on this. I think that Reliance itself should first decide the price and then send messages to all its customers so that no customer should get confused.

Regards.

@ganesh

Yes my dear friend you are absolutely right. The speed of Reliance net nowadays is very to very very bad. I don't think it's a good deal at Rs.4200/-.

Looks like a waste of money except for Laptop users who doesn't have any choice other than these cards.

Regards.

Now-a-days, All ppl are getting poor speeds in RConnect. I can't download anything in day time coz I get "Request Timed Out" continuously while downloading. But in night after 11:00 PM, I get approx. 15-20 KBps d/l speed. :P

Hey guys! I want to purchase a data card for my laptop (which I'll get in this week :Riendo: ). Can anyone suggest me, which one should I go for? What will be the price and speed?

these days new laptops are coming with express slot and not with pcmcia slot (your laptop dealer can tell that or check manual) . in that case you have option of only usb card .

in case u are having pcmcia slot . then both cards can be used.

cant tell technically , but personally i get better speed with usb card . n it has advantage of using with pc too .

prices same as previous post .

If you can use usb card why not use mobile phone with a usb data cable...

yeah vikky ur right we can buy a mobile which supports true usb interface like lg 5130 or ... which gvies good speed n will also hav the convinince of mobile too . then there's no use of buying usb card .

p.s its my opinion.

Hello everybody I myself have Sold old Laptop and Bought New HP Pavilion 2124TU but the PCMCIA card is not supported.

The New Laptop have Express 54 / 36 Card Support which have very small form factor.

Before Buy Any PCMCIA Let this be Clear in you Mind

Hey Vishal Check wheather the New Card is PCMCIA or Express 36 or 54. New Laptop dont have PCMCIA Slot as the Mother borad uses Express Chipsets. I think for Future Proof Planning USB Card or Bluetooth Handset is Better Option.

I'll keep it in my mind. :rofl_200:

One more thing, suppose I purchase the card in UP and after a few days/months I move to Delhi. Will it work there without any problem? Any extra charges for using the card in other states? or anything else, which u guys will like to share? :Confuso:

Guys i am importing 30 RUIM DATA cards.

I am expecting delivery any day now, its been delayed enough because of spring season in china.

Attaching the pics here so that u guys suggest me importing such item can be money making or no.

Will give the actual pricing later as duty and all yet not cleared.

So now we will launch R-connect data card for prepaid.:confuse:

NOTE - I also considering importing PCMCI type II cards. as i have seen people complaining about non-availability of this type.
