KumaarShah 143 Report post Posted March 2, 2007 will the gsm-cdma phone work with our RCL? what would be the price?
petar 15 Report post Posted March 2, 2007 the WINDWOS CE based 728 G2 is around 700$ in CHINA. It would work with GSM providers, but not with CDMA reliance unless they launch it themselves or u get it tweaked from expert.
KumaarShah 143 Report post Posted March 3, 2007 ^^^ petar, what you are referring to is dual GSM and what I asked was about the GSM-CDMA one the model number of which is 768 (post #5) Anyway, I have got the indication as posted by you above. 30 to 35K is too pricey, what say???? petar 15 Report post Posted March 3, 2007 ok mistake on my part in specifying model number. I think they have right to price at premium as no other company in world is giving phone , that runs on GSm + CDMA network simultaneously. Once more models are available then prices shall come down. Besides this models are not there in USA, as no USA carrier has RUIM card yet. So once demand picks up in USA, then quantity orders will decrease the price. KumaarShah 143 Report post Posted March 3, 2007 ^^^ Thanks petar for the info. Lets hope that the prices come down soon enough. And I presume that this phone is not RUIM enabled so it will not work on RCL.
mrasool 0 Report post Posted May 10, 2007 Spice Mobile (the cellphone brand and not the Service brand) is going to launch the GSM-CDMA (dual -mode dual-working) handsets in India in June or July 2007. Since they do not manufacture any of theit handsets themselves (like most other brands) , they will most probably get them from Yulong. You may want to check out their website http://www.spicemobile.in at a future date
