Honest 836 Report post Posted March 9, 2007 (edited) @veryjonny My dear friend you can always ask for the latest prices of handsets offered by reliance here in this forum by your co-members. Most of the time when new handsets or new schemes launched in Reliance, and we discuss here about those handsets or schemes than we always try to post the latest price of the handsets. You are always welcome to ask anything about Reliance in this forum my dear friend. Regards. Edited March 10, 2007 by Honest

kshah 452 Report post Posted March 10, 2007 You will never get price on site officially they cant Stat price unless and untill they are selling it online Can you clarify this statement in general. Is it a rule that one can not state prices online unlsess sold online?
HetalDP 947 Report post Posted March 10, 2007 If Reliance Gives the Price online its Binding on them to Provide the same thing to client that why Web World an Other Related Offices always Says Higher Prices. You can even Visit FutureBazaar.com which First States MRP and then it says available Discount to indue Course if the Prices Rises they have the margin to fight against it. That is also the reason why Tata have Started a New COmpany and Floated Online Selling site ichoose.com so the Original Telecom Company never come into legal Complications. There is no such Specific rule. But to Avoid any Complication now Company is getting away from Handset selling Business.Classic Phone is Promoted by Reliance and is being made from So many Manufacturer But the Reliance have made Special Agreement to float this Handsets from another Special Vehicle Company. copperco2 24 Report post Posted March 10, 2007 for that matter a compay can give the MRP of the handsets and the MRP could be the one printed on the box. that can be done withut any complications. and for futurebazaar, fabmall, rediff shopping, indiatimes shoping... all these sellers have their margins secured on the quantity... buy bulk sell loose.... kind of
HetalDP 947 Report post Posted March 10, 2007 Still prices of all Online Store is Hefty Higher than my Local Cell Guy.
KumaarShah 143 Report post Posted March 10, 2007 So it all boils down to "LET THE BUYER BEWARE" sort of thing. If he does not know the prices, RCL outlets can loot him at MRP rates?? Is it not business ethics that RCL outlets should sell at the lowest prices only and not at the MRP prices?? Why are handsets available elsewhere at lower rates than in the RCL outlets?? I know that dealers elsewhere are at full liberty to sell at prices lower than MRP but then what is the value of RCL outlets if they sell at MRP or higher than elsewhere? Ideally it should be the other way around - lowest prices at RCL outlets and maybe slightly higher prices elsewhere. Anything is possible with RCL nowadays. I also know that there will be no answers for my queries, but then business ethics also plays a role. Hope someone from RCL is reading this and also hope they take corrective action on this. veryjonny 0 Report post Posted March 11, 2007 thanks guys. the futureBazaar.com is a useful site. gives you an idea in about what range the price of the handset is going to be. petar 15 Report post Posted March 13, 2007 It worked like this. In USA ppl sold at good margins before advent of internet. They had lots of cost associated as well like Rent, salary etc. So when internet became popular in late ninties- everything went for sale online & it was a kind of BOOM there. As Online selling cost was far less then what they spend on decorating HUGE stores, giving fat slaraies to employees etc. Here in india, people already sell in small shops at pitiful margins. Sometimes expensive mobiles are sold at margins of like 200-300 Rs. So When this people sell online, they cannot cover ebay fees, Credit card processing etc etc So naturally Online prices would include all this cost & eventually prices would be more. kshah 452 Report post Posted March 13, 2007 also credit card processors charge hefty 7%. So online has to be atleast expensive by 7% plus shipping charges even if one has own site and do not sell thru ebay or indiatimes etc.
petar 15 Report post Posted March 14, 2007 Well. CC payment gateways have come down to 4% thru Net banking & 5% thru credit card. Anyway, doest make sense to pay the processor this much, when u are doing business on low margins.
