copperco2 24 Report post Posted March 22, 2007 guys.. i am trying to get my hands on database that will have emails or contact numbers of ppl all ver maharashtra. cotact numbers has to be necessarily a cell number. this will be to create awareness abt my services and only for one time. any body has any ideas do let me know. btw any body who has indiatimes id will realise that all the offers coming their way in the mail box have an indiatimes account like.. eBay@indiatimes.com, icicbank@indiatimes.com etc.. how do they do it? I am not trying to indulge in a scam by asking anybody to buy something like viagra, or help me get my hands on any inheritence.. so i guess an honest effort to spread a good word should not be treated as spam. copperco2 24 Report post Posted March 28, 2007 No offence, but even i wouldn't like to get unsolicited calls/mails from unknown person, even if it is just one time. why not put advertisements in paper? i perfectly agree with you. in fact i have advertisements running in databases like naukri.com and others.. but an advertisement in newspapers like even ascent from TOI will not generate that response anticipated thru the email campaign.. btw have you heard of rzmails@indiatimes.com you dont have to subscribe to any mailing list neither you have to have any indiatimes.com email account to receiive a mail from that address. it's spam. but this has been happening... in fact the account i have with indiatimes.com... i receive n numbers of offers daily... and guess what is the email id sending me the offers.. if its clickjobs then clickjobs@indiatimes.com or icicibank@indiatimes.com so on and on I understand its spam if i am coaxing you to buy viagra...or share my inheritence in the african continent by pulling in any resources... its just an honest attempt to make ppl. aware abt the initiative... guys...
