Reliance had unveiled a range of classic handsets earlier this month with prices for monochrome handsets starting from Rs 777. Reliance had also announced last week that they have sold one million handsets in a week post the new pricing. "Classic monochrome handsets brought many first time users of mobility into our fold and now with our classic colour range, we hope to attract new users as well as existing users of other monochrome cellular phones. These subscribers will now get colour handsets at prices lower than most black and white phones available in India today" said S P Shukla, president, personal business-Reliance Communications. These phones have a 'SMS on call reject feature' which automatically sends the caller an SMS (user definable) telling the caller that you are unable to take the call ets. The Classic range of handsets also features colour-FM series, colour display and monochrome handsets with colour film display and are supported by a nationwide after-sales service network These special prices are valid for a limited period till stocks last.
