raccoon 53 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 Ya ...what has improved? The network quality which was quite good for voice calls, at least, has gone BAD! SMSing has always had all kinds of disadvantages/problems. No basic services like Call waiting/forwarding, voice mail, etc. Tariffs which were cheaper than most operators are now more expensive. And they never had great handsets anyway, and now that situation is much worse with only the cheap Chinese Classics being promoted... This is improvement??? KumaarShah 143 Report post Posted May 19, 2007 I agree with raccoon on all the above. Only thing RCL has improved on now is that CC/HL is having upto date info. How long this will last is anybody's guess. Their website also gets updated atleast frequently now unlike before when it used to dole out stale info only. Hope they become market leaders again instead of followers of Airtel, Hutch, Idea, BSNL/MTNL etc. in terms of newer plans and tariffs. They definitely need to junk out so many plans on their website, which I hope no one would be taking. Some of them are really silly plans. This then will be the real discovery and not the current discovery which is only a wild goose chase. They also need to re-work DAPO plans. The 400 free minutes are useless if you opt for the Rs 99 STD pack. You lose the benefit of calling at Re 0.40 pm to any Reliance Mobile across India. You will have to use the 400 free minutes for making local offnet calls only, which in any case are exorbitant at Rs 1.20 pm to other cells and Re 1 to other LLs. raccoon 53 Report post Posted May 19, 2007 Well, that up-to-date info wont be of much use either, since its nearly impossible to connect to CC (except mebbe v late in the night). Anyway, its not my problem anymore, since I'm outta RIM ...but my bro is still stuck with it because of the number.
