Using Zte Pcmia.fast But Torrents Fail To Pick Up Speed?

Recommended Posts

the Internet speed is great for me i can download 1mb at speeds of 30 to 40 kbps variably.but when i try to download a torrent file it just fails to pick up speed it remains at either 100 bytes or maximum of 2kbps why has reliance done something to prevent torrents being downloaded or is it just me. the torrent status is green, when i switch to wifi and connect to broadband the same torrrent picks up speed to 30 kbps.where am i going wrong here?

Try using random ports and use protocol encryption ...your client would need to support that, of course.

Your port is forwarded, I hope?

Also check the latency ...not sure to what extent that affects torrents, though.

has any one here used the reliance connection to download torrent's?can someone with some experience on this matter help?

port forwarding is enabled, that's what I meant by saying using broadband the same torrent/ client works perfectly

which software can I use to turn off the net connection automatically at 6 AM?

latency? how do I fund it using ping command?

NO need to use any software and add bloat to your system. Just use task scheduler!

You can use the following command line ...set to run at 6 am:

rasdial netconnect /disconnect

*where "netconnect" is the name of the connection.

It might be a good idea to include a command line shutdown command (if supported) for the torrent client, set to run couple of mins before the above command, so that it can shut down gracefully before the conn is terminated.

I just tried using NetConnect and I am able to get about the same speed when I used uTorrent to download files,

the same speed that I get normally on NetConnect.
