kvivekanandan 0 Report post Posted May 31, 2007 (edited) Dear all, I am constrained to bring to notice that i got a Reliance USB modem as a bundled one with a HP laptop purchase. The local vendor told after verification, it will be immediately activated...Verification was over and then he gave steps like - 1. Go to call 2. Type *228 3. You will get prerecorded message and follow it and finally you will get message - Successfully activated. But when I tried nothing happened...and no co-operation from local vendor....Then tried *333 - No body picked the phone... The only problem is nowadays all laptop does not come with Pcmcia card - and I have a PCMcia compatible Airtel connection....and Brilliantly Airtel is not bothered about this technology change....and when i asked them what happen when have upgraded my Laptop to a new one....Again they have no answers....except - Sorry - Any way, thought Reliance is advanced but the joy is short lived...Now I am stranded...Not able to connect... Let me tell you, Vodafone in UK, Bigpond in Melbourne all activate within 30 mts.....and all have two types ...pcmcia and usb modems.... Will ADAG put the show like that in India....activating within 30 mts.... If Dirubai was alive, he could have done that, as he was a visionary!!!! We really miss him!!!!
