Rs1/min that too for listening a song is too much. i think it's very expensive.

it's rather better to buy a phone with fm. there r more than 10 fm stations in almost all cities & on some station or the other u can always listen to your favourite song.

& if u r a bigger music fan then go for a phone with mp3 player, just load your favourite stuff. thats it.

I even received a sms regarding mobile fm on my gsm phone. their service is even more costlier. it costs somewhere between Rs3-5/min.

Although such a service is good as it shows develepmont in technology. But their t high tariffs & availability of better alternate options at cheaper prices makes them useless for consumers.

^^^

My dear friends I too think that this service is useless. Reliance can't get subscriptions to this unless they offer this as free service.

In my point of view Reliance will get 0 subscribers out of millions for this service.

Regards.

The nature of the service is through voice channel.

It'll not be possible for the operator to give it free voice channel if the subscribtion fee is just Rs.30.

If its for just Rs.30/month then all the users will be hooked on and the complete bandwidth will be consumed.

Just think this in parallel to CUG where they're providing 2 voice channels at the subsrcibtion of Rs.100(Case:: 2 are in CUG).

But CUG is something for which operator need not work in background to buy songs and maintain database.

Another loop-hole in this approach is one can record the song if he has the call recording enabled handset and store it in external/internal memory. In this way one can use it to just record the new song.

Its a kind of piracy which can happen even for background music and caller tunes.

This service I would say as an emergency service which can be used when you're holed up in isolation without any music gadgets.

My suggestion to Reliance would be to charge Rs.1/min without any subscription and that would help to avoid cluttering of bandwidth and it also works out on economies of scale due to its affordability.

One more suggestion to them is don't ever sell a phone with call recording capability.

They are aleady selling crappy phones without all kinds of features ...for those who are ready to put up with such stuff, the lack of one more feature shouldnt matter much... :P
