Usb Data Cable Of Rd 5340

Recommended Posts

i previously owned an LG RD6230, by which i successfully used Rconnect for several months. but nw i have an LG RD5340. When i tried to connect RD5340 with the data cable of RD6230, my computer is not at all datecting any device being connected.

Is the USB DATA CABLE of LG RD6230 compatible with LG RD 5340?

if not, can i make it compatible with RD5340, by doing some alterations in the cable?

i am an electronic engineer, and i hope i cud manage the rest, if some one gives me a clue to solve the problem!!!!

THANKS IN ADVANCE.

hi

me to face the same problem with the 5340 mobile. the prob is not with the cable , its with the phone which dosent suppport direct usb as it doesnt have usb option in data settings. where as even 5130 has usb option i used the same cable with 5130 it works fine but not with 5340.

so the solution is buy a usb to serial converter cable or a serial cable . the usb to serial converter cable is usb cable with chip in it so u can connect to usb port but while installing u should choose some serial port which it shows.

hv fun enjoy.

at present scenario i dont suggest Rconnect unless ur traveling .the other option is take a data card from bsnl and it is 300 rs unlimted /month.

check it out with bsnl.

regards

praveen

one more doubt. if RD5340 only support SERIAL interface, not USB, do u know , which all are the pin connections in the 24-PIN data port of RD5340? is it using the same voltage levels of +15 and -15?

i hav built an usb-serial converter, which is working good with other devices. so i jz want to try that with my old data cabe of RD6230, to connect RD5340.

its gottn too technical.

well i had a rd5340, and i got a cheetah cable fot it and plugged it in my laptop with the rconnect dialler and all. i never had any problem with the internet or connectivity anywhere.

and yes.. there is no need to tamper any settings in yur andset for any reason unless you are a pro..

i might have the cable with me, wont know abt the dialler, that you can make out from the make new connections too. i have done it for my 2865.
