manubatham2006 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2007 I bought a serial cable 2 years ago. I never feel any problem with it. Connection speed 115.2 kbps and maximum downloading speed 6-7kbps. One day i got a 2in1 usb data cable of akasaki. Which also charges my mobile, i schocked what i was seeing. I am downloading with the speed of 11-16 kbps with my LG 6130 with connection of 115.2 kbps. So guies is there any funda behind it. The cable was of my friend. Then i tried another usb cable from the market but same speed as serial cable. Then i further tried two or three times the charging usb cable i got the same speed of 11-16 kbps. I search for this cable but in vain. No one has it. Anyone has a good experience with it!!! Reply..........
amtrag 20 Report post Posted July 5, 2007 (edited) Yes, it definitely makes a difference. It depends upon the quality of copper used, its gauge, thickness etc etc. and also on quality of soldering with the connectors, quality of the connector itself and last but not the least, length of the cable. Although I don't have much knowledge with regards to data cables, but let me mention that in audio, you get speaker cables and interconnects starting from Rs.2 per meter right upto Rs.5000 or even more for a meter! And usually, the cheapest of the available cables would suffer from above quality problems. Edited July 5, 2007 by amtrag
