Rconnect On Ubuntu

Recommended Posts

Has anyone here succesfully connected using Rconnect on Ubuntu 7.04?

I tried to install the driver on a live version of Ubuntu before trying it on my actual Ubuntu installation on my hard disk just so I can make sure I don't mess up anything but it returns some kinda error saying there's a problem with one of the lines.

According to the reliance website, it states that the linux driver is for RedHat and Fedora and doesn't say anything about Ubuntu so I don't know if it will work or not. Though the tutorial in the forum states that the driver is for Fedora, Redhat, SUSE, Ubuntu, etc., I wanted to check if anyone here has been successful in setting up the connection in Ubuntu.

Ubuntu is becoming immensely popular among people like me who are very new to Linux.
