A Trick To Get A Warranty Replace Phone!

Recommended Posts

You bought a nokia phone about a year ago and warranty will be soon over. You wish you could get a new phone? ( Same Model)

Well this is how we do it:

Remove battery cover and battery

Connect a 12V DC power supply to the phone's battery connector

as shown in the picture

An IC will then burn internally and your phone will die. There will be no sign of it so Nokia technicians won't see that you did something to your phone and will replace it with a new one.

Do not try this if your phone is not under warranty

Do not try this if you suspect or you are not sure if your phone has ever suffered liquid or drop damage

Do not try this if you don't understand what I'm talking about

I dont think this is a good option, what if u dont get a new phone ? your existing phone even if it can be repaired will become useless.

They will surely replace it? anyways we have better chance if we own CDMA, as they dont even try to repair CHIP level, so just get instant replace

Damn... wish I had known this before...

My Nokia 1112 was faulty out of the box ...but they are adamant about not replacing it. They just kept on repairing it and harassing me... Nokia s**ks!

But this is not good if its misused... people may use it with perfectly good phones just to claim warranty!

Any MNC launch thier product in india by keeping this in mind. i mean they know indians fight for warranty, that is why they launch product in price accordingly.

Some EXAMPLES

IBM T60 INDIA-- 1,26,000/- USA 1200 USD

SONY H9 DGCAM in india 29990/- in USA 400 USD.

MOTO ROKR BT headphone in india 5000/-- USA 45 USD

the warranty of the phone is checked by nokia using the phone's imei no/esn no,when u take ur phone for service they check these details and get an approx time of the purchase of the handset. and if ur phone happens to fall in the border of the warranty date they may ask u for a tax paid bill.either way if u r going for a replacement they will ask for the purchase bill.they r not concerned about the activation date on the phone as that can be tampered/changed,its the date of purchase that matters.
