Ringtones?

Recommended Posts

I recntly went through the broucher og GTRAN, and was amazed to see that GTRAN has the facility to Download, Ringtones along with wallpapers from PC. How is that possible? And why not other big players provide this service in CDMA handsets, as their GSM counterparts? <_<

I am sure you are in for a surprise when I tell you that YES you can download any, YES ANY! midi file and make it as a ring tone. Moreover you can also record your voice ,any other sound/ music etc and make it as a ringtone. Also any damm photo/ BMP file can be set as a wallpaper. ANIMATION also possible !! This a damm good phone for customisation to the HILT.

I have got the Gtran regular for just Rs. 5650/- on upgrade option from LG RD2030 in the anniversary phone. The Phone is much much better than the LG colour phone. Build quality and finish is very elegant.

I would recommend the phone to every one. It requires some effort to get used to the software though.

Regards,

I have a question for all those who own GTRAN - When you set the ringtone mode to Vibrate+Ring does the rintone play in sync with the vibrate mode (as in nokia) or does it vibrate alone first and then ring (ala Lg 2030) :D

Ananth,

Bad news 4 you - Its like the LG 2030 , Vibrates 3 times first and then rings.

Even i miss the vibration that my old Nokia 6610 had which was in sync with the ringtone and not like these CDMA handsets. But I guess nothing is perfect in this world. So even though GTRAN is a gr8 fone, it has its share of few probs like battery life.

I would also like to mention that the phone get a little heated on heavy usage. But i guess thats with most CDMA handsets and we gotta live with that. Otherwise its a gr8 phone.

Gtran_Rocks,

Thanks a lot!!! Its ok even if the phone gets heated up or the vibrator mode problems- i have made up my mind to upgrade my phone from lg2030 to gtran thanks to your great review of the phone.

Regards,

:D Ananth

Dear Austin

Simple it is

First see to it if you have selected Still Image or Animation

Then select the bitmap file that u want to be displayed.Click on add button

Then Select the second Bitmap file and click on add button.

In this way u can choose upto 10 bitmap files.

Now click on download and there you are. You have downloaded an animation on to your file.
