mtyzxlm 0 Report post Posted July 24, 2007 Mail sent from Reliance Rconnect get flagged as spam and most of my mail goes to the spam box of the recipient. Spamhaus.org has flagged Reliance Infocomm as an originator of spam. Reliance officials can set this right by providing the right information to Spamhaus as well as take some compliance actions but they are taking too long to get this done. http://www.spamhaus.org/sbl/sbl.lasso?query=SBL53737 The net effect of this is your mail sent when connected through RConnect may not reach the user. If this continues, you can use Netconnect or RConnect only for browsing and not email! Sriram
Arun 795 Report post Posted July 24, 2007 Yes, this has been happenning for a long time now. SpamHaus is a very popular RBL and is used in many mail servers. I have been informing this to Customer Care for sometime now, but no use. I have informed about it to one of their senior admin recently, I hope they will resolve it as soon as possible. Just in case this would help you... for the time being, I have configured our mail server to accept emails through SMTP if "logon to incoming mail server before sending" is done. But there is nothing that can be done if the recepient mail server uses spamhaus RBL and tags it as spam

Arun 795 Report post Posted July 25, 2007 I guess most proxy IPs will be listed already in many RBLs as its accessible to the public.

Sriram this problem is also with MTNL. most of my mails go to clients spam box or bounce back, and the reason given is the forged IP. when MTNL was into implementing an anti spam from CA, most of the resumes i received would go into the spambox of mtnl and i had to retrieve them manually.. dont know what to do about it...
