usman 0 Report post Posted July 24, 2007 Hi guys... I am a regular user of RConnect on my PC. I have been using it on my computer for over a year using the CA-42 cable and Nokia 2280 handset. However, recently i got a new system and this combination is not working for me. The computer completely hangs at the "Dialing..." screen and there is no choice but to hard reset the system. On the handset screen it shows the graphical dialog of connection (the sending>> recieving<< stuff)but the computer goes totally unresponsive. Please help me....i had to reuse the old system just to use internet!!! Thats how i'm typing this message...from my old system!! Old system specs: Intel P4 2.4Ghz (Northwood core) VIA Chipset Motherboard 768MB RAM 160GB IDE Hard Disk Running Windows XP Pro SP2 New System: AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ ASUS nForce Chipset 2GB RAM 160GB SATA Hard Disk I have a clue to that problem because a friend of mine also faces it. He has an Intel Chipset and Pentium D processor so i reckon this problem occurs on Dual-Core systems only. But i need solution...!!!
Arun 795 Report post Posted July 24, 2007 as a solution, you can try creating a new dialer from Network Connections and then connect using that. I'm not sure why it is having issues with Dual core systems.
