coolrajiv 1 Report post Posted July 25, 2007 BSNL is all set to launch Internet Protocol TV (IPTV) service on August 15 this year, BSNL sources said here today. This service of Calcutta Telephones would be an enhancement of the Broad Band service with 100 TV channels covering all popular brands and Video on Demand(VOD), wherein one movie would cost in between Rs 10 and Rs 50 depending on the flavour, said a release of the telecom. Monthly fixed charge of IPTV would be Rs 250, including taxes, the release added. Calcutta Telephones, BSNL, offers the package with payment of one year service in advance. However, options are open for payment in three installments. All with or without BSNL landline and Broad Band service can subscribe IPTV for which only a small monthly charge would be levied, the release stated.
