Negative Balance On My Mobile Around 10000

whoa, its a wonder that you were able to use NetConnect upto Rs.10000 without get disconnected.

If you have given the correct address when taking the connection then they can find you out. They do take such cases with the collection agency. Even if you get rid of the old number the name and address will still be in their records.

Anything is possible in Reliance my dear friend. I know a number of people who are getting benefitted by the loopholes of Reliance. There are a number of bugs in there systems which will take time to be getting fixed my dear friend.

Actually as guptaet told his was a prepaid connection, then I think there is no chance of recovery at all. Prepaid means that pay first and use later. How can they ask for the recovery ? As the user didn't signed any document while taking the connection which reflects that he has to pay if his account gone in negative balance. It is the total mistake of Reliance itself. So they have to bear this loss.

AFAIK, I think what Honest says is true. It is RCLs fault and not the customers. In such a situation, RCL cannot send collection agents.

And what amit jain says also may be true. It may be impossible to run up such a huge negative balance without the knowledge of RCL. However with RCL, anything is possible.

@guptaet, you may if you so wish pay up the money or buy another GSK and use it on your existing number. Its upto you to decide. All the Best.

They probably get the amount from insurance, so they don't suffer any loss against this. Thats what i believe. BTW how did you check the 'negative' balance??? Did you call cusomer care ;-)

I agree with Honest,there are lot of bugs in reliance,there are still ways of using many things for free.But I would need a big bottle of hajmola to take the 10k minus balance thing,but again would agree with Honest that anything is possible with reliance.

And please dont think that reliance cannot take any action,they may book u for fraud and many other things.

Even if they get the amount by insurance they will deduct it from some poor users and cover up thier loss.Aise hi logo ke balance gayab nahi hote hai.

I agree with you 100% my dear friend that they will surely going to deduct the amount from some poor users and cover up their losses.

But at the same time I don't think that Reliance can put up a case against him for fraud. The user didn't make any fraud. Infact the user can putup the case against Reliance for embrassing and harrasing him if they come for recovery.

I think this user (guptaet) must change his number with a new GSK. And even if they come to ask for the dues he can settle the mattter for a few thousand of Rupees only. They will happily settle the account without any discripencies, I think.

Already many menber have suitably replied.

To summarise, I agree with members that it is a problem of RCL. You just take a new GSK and new number.

As and when RCL contacts you, try to settle the issue mutually.

By the way, you must double confirm with the CC. After all its RCL CC.

And on a last note, are you still able to call and surf from the phone?

A similar case happened when my friend use 2 work in Hutch CC a customer called that he lost some bal as he recharged recently ...........on checking his acc my friend discovered balance -4000 something.............y for......well he downloaded each and every ringtone from Hutch World wap site ...... and his reply was that he didn't saved any of the ringtone ....... was just listening to preview...................... these are offline charge deduction so balance is not checked before providing the service(unlike online deduction)...............so this is limitation in there services....... u didn't forced them 2 provide service as no where in the agreement form there is a credit liability term or clause defined(from wat i remeber) as it was meant to be prepaid connection and they r 2 take payment from u in advance................ Nothing will happen however u'll lose ur number.................

Still ur dealing with Reliance not hutch as they could try every hook and crook(coz ur not legally liable) to get money out of u so just get a new Starter Pack or change 2 GSM(ur already changing the number) as they could target u via RSN number also......

And belive me or not, my negative balace goes behyond 25,000 many times and i used to change the number frequently... every time i am using my original photo and address proof only... till no probs... but who knows what next???

My dear friends the word "PREPAID" has all in its name. Nothing to be said beyond this. No chance at all to recover from prepaid customers until and unless the customer had committed a fraud to use the services.

ya im still able to do all..

just get it recharged with any amount and use net rworld or sms and call..

but in 24 to 48 hours even if i do not use my cell...........the balance reduces to 1 or 2 rupees and some paisa like 1.45.

abt new no the shopkeeper is askng me 220 for gsk and 100 for making my cell free of previous no...means making it blank..

they say if u call *228 and dial the pin that is there in the gsk the no wont get activated....on my cell as it is not blank...

i want reliable informaton on this also.\

Dude! Just send an SMS to 3733 with the following:

GETSTAT <RSN NO>

You can find the RSN from the sticker on the Cell Phone once you remove your battery. (Please do not use < or > as mentioned above while sending the SMS) :rolleyes:

After a while you'll receive an SMS stating whether the cell phone with the given RSN can be used or not with GSK and HCC.

Whats wrong with reliance. Generally all the outgoing services and RConnect should stop functionging when balance goes negative in PREPAID connection. How come this happen? Guptaet says he have -10000 and another fellow says many a times he goes below -25000. Its hard to beliave. Are they making some kind of joke? In Mumbai I have seen many a time Rconnect also stops if we do not have plus balance in Prepaid Mobile.

Many people told Guptaet to change number or something like that. But what about all the phone calls you made and recieved. Every call details even in prepaid is recorded and kept in logs for legal reasons. Anyone can be easily traceable by that. Its another question if Reliance wants you to trace or not. But people dont think that you people cannot be caught after making frauds even on mobiles taken with wrong name or address.

There is no word i mentioned as impossible. read again. I am just wondoring how this can happen. its simple reliance mistake in thier (so called advanced) mobile isp system. :Contento: I am using airtel gprs on prepaid connection, but if balance goes below 50 Rs. gprs does not connect. this will prevent your phone going in negative balance. if number is not important you can always forget it.

Also check I did not say u did any fraud here. using rconnect is not fraud. :D I said in general if someone makes fraud (any kind of), they can catch mobile users by called or recieved phone numbers (if made :D ) waise bhee kaannon ke haath lambe hote hai. fraud means any threatening, porn-sms-mms, abusing,etc or any other kind of misuse of mobile. I hope you got my point.

my idea's card validity expired on dec 9 and my gprs is still active and the negative balance stands at 280@Rs.5/day.

Dear friends this is all mistake of reliance and they deserves for that -ve balance if costumer changed his/her rim no . they cant send recovery agent for it !

but they can take it as a complicated case for experiment !

same mistake was made by reliance when they was distributing mobiles at 500 rs ! ]

My dear friends, Reliance always make mistakes time by time. Their ISO certified systems sometimes goes nuts. Many people are leeching the booty due to their ISO certified systems. Some things comes in front of all, and somethings are always been hidden.

I still enjoying the benefit of its ISO certified systems.
